A logo is one of the most important pieces to your business, it gives your business an identity. So your logo needs to be original and well thought out. Some questions that I ask are. What are you selling? Who is your target market? And what are you going to use the logo for?My Process:
Step 1: Requirements Gathering
- Meet with client determine what type of branding they are looking for and need. Q & A session with client.
- Review client information,determine who the target audience is.
- Determine best colors to use that will engage the target audience.
- Research competitors branding, market trends, products/service differentiators, history of the business, the future and the current brand, if the client has one.
- Brainstorm ideas
- Sketch idea - This helps generate a strong set of possible directions to take the brand in.
- Narrow down ideas to 2 stongest directions.
- Renderings are done in Adobe Illustrator of 2 strongest ideas, color is added based on research.
- The 2 designs are presented to the client as a PDf file.
- Client creates feedback based on the designs and how they relate to the target audience.
- Following the client review the design is either finalised, or revisions are made that are agreed upon.
- There is always flexibilty in the process.
- A style guide is created with the design, listing the fonts and spot colors as well as best placement and usage of the design. This helps keep the branding consistent.
- Fonts are supplied via zip file.
- logo formats are supplied for use. .AI .PSD .EPS .JPG .PNG
